Limited Warranty Relating to Dedito Footwear and Clothing

Dedito Boots Warranty Claim Process for the Moorland, Luca, Haakan, Dodi and Omnio

Dedito leather boots have a 12-month warranty against defects in workmanship or materials, from the date of retail purchase. Dedito Boots will make all warranty determinations and after inspection by the warranty team, reserves the right to either repair, replace or issue a refund for valid warranty returns.

Any faults that occur should be raised immediately with customer services as soon as they appear. We will not investigate fault queries that have been left to exacerbate over time.

The Dedito Boots footwear warranty does not cover the following:

  • Damage resulting from user misuse, extreme use, or abuse.
  • Issues caused by failure to care for the product (e.g. not conditioning leather uppers, exposure to excessive heat,
  • Normal wear and tear, which includes: wear/tears on inner-linings, excessive wear of soles, external rand coming away, eyelets pulling out/lace hook snapping, PU coating rubbing off/cracking at flex points.
  • Damage as a result of accidents.
  • Chemical or mechanical damage. (includes: chemicals, organic, saline, animal or human sewage, petrochemicals or from chainsaw or quadbike use).
  • Footwear repaired, tampered with, or modified by a third party.
  • Footwear that has been improperly fit.

Once we have seen photos of the boots, we will, at our discretion, determine whether the issue is due to normal wear and tear, or a manufacturing defect. In making our decision, we will also consider the age and usage of the boots, to decide on the most appropriate resolution.

Please note that much of the Dedito Boots manufacturing process is carried out by hand, which may result in occasional variations in the finish. Please also be aware that leather is a natural product that will, from its first use, age over time, resulting in a gradual change in colour, texture, and overall appearance. We do suggest looking at the Care Recommendations on the website, for the best way to look after your boots.

Initiating a warranty claim:

Before submitting a warranty claim, we would recommend thoroughly inspecting your boots and taking the following into consideration:

  • Examining the inner liners to ensure there are no holes, worn heels, or other damage to the waterproof membrane.
  • Ensure the nubuck/leather collar (above the line of the waterproof membrane) has not become saturated with water, as this may give the sensation of leaking when it is actually water ingress inside the boot from the top saturated area.
  • Consider the type of socks that have been worn with the boots, as natural wool socks can cause feet to become hot and sweaty and give the sensation of leaking.

If your boots were bought from one of our stockists, please contact the store where you made the original purchase.

If the boots were ordered online via the Dedito Boots website or directly from a Dedito Boots stand at a Game Fair, please email customer service on dedito@deditoboots.com. Please state the specific reason for the warranty claim and include the following in the email: product photo’s (front, sole, side views, label inside) and a copy of receipt of purchase.

Once a fault has been raised with the Warranty Team, the team will respond within 3 – 5 working days to advise you of the next steps.

If we ask for your boots to be returned to us, please ensure they are clean and dry. We reserve the right to reject dirty boots; they will be returned to you, and the remainder of the warranty will become void.

Return labels for faulty products will be issued at our discretion.

If a claim is raised and an item is not received by ourselves or by the independent test centre within the following 5 working days, the current claim becomes void as does the remainder of the warranty period.

There may be instances where we need to send returned boots for a more detailed inspection. We work with a well-respected, UK-based, independent testing and repair centre, Lancashire Sports Repairs, who carry out detailed inspections on our behalf. Following inspection/testing, they will provide a report identifying whether or not there is a manufacturing fault, or a fault arising from general wear and tear.

Should the report advise that the fault is not a manufacturing fault and is a result of customer damage, we will charge a £40 fee to have the boots returned to you. This fee covers the £16.50 for shipping to and from the centre, the £20 assessment, and the £3.50 administration cost.

Please be aware that, due to the original construction process of the boots, if a repair is performed by the independent testing and repair centre, the boots will not appear brand new. Repairs may be visible but will restore the boots’ functionality.

Once we have all the necessary information, the final decision will rest with our warranty team, who will assess the claim’s validity and either repair, replace the footwear or refund the purchase.

Boots outside warranty:

If your boots develop a fault outside of our standard 12-month warranty, we recommend contacting our independent testing and repair centre, Lancashire Sports Repairs direct, who will be happy to assess your boots for repair or refurbishment. For further information visit their website Outdoor Gear Repairs – LSR or you can call them on 01282 439109.
